Job description:
|
1. Work with Underwriting (Corporate and Field) to create detailed
requirement documents to ensure accurate business requirements that allow
Config and QA Analyst to use for development and test cases design.
2. Create detailed test plans and test cases; execute completely and
report results. Ensure successful test cycles by tracking and resolving
simple to intermediate defects and issues with application developer/Config
Analyst (internal or external).
3. Assist in production support activities to determine the nature,
impact and extent of issues. Perform data analysis to support evaluation of
system defects or to develop test scenarios. May include file extracts or
scripting. Triage and troubleshoot complex user-reported system defects.
Assist in various system trouble shooting, balancing and correction efforts.
4. Assist in developing policy and procedure manuals, and notices to
users of changes made in the system including workaround instructions where
applicable.
5. Assist in systems and business process support within the Enterprise
Business Solutions Department. Maintain test data files and monitor system
configuration to ensure data integrity; review data loaded and processed to
identify gaps and data anomalies. Help to develop system or behavior-driven
solutions to minimize errors. Coordinate vendor activities including on-time
delivery, testing, IT production moves and follow-up when necessary. Work as
technical support and liaison to designated IT personnel to provide testing,
support and feedback on enhancement requests and regular updates/releases.
Adhere to release schedules.
6. Provide analytical support for critical corporate initiatives, including business function support for system migrations & consolidations,
significant business area process improvement projects, and complex product
installations. Responsible for consulting with business areas and project
managers for development of implementation strategies.
7. Demonstrate a high level of subject matter expertise in functional
area supported to bridge business requirements and IT solutions. Provide
technical direction and ensure compliance with best practice solutions.
8. Practice knowledge transfer and foster change management as the
organization changes and new skills are required, focusing on
team/individual development to be a valued contributor.
9. Support testing and analysis of new Commercial Lines Policy Administration system.
10. Help meet Enterprise Business Solutions departmental goals; change
management support and quality assurance in order to achieve corporate
strategies and initiatives. Provide back-up for others as necessary.
11. Perform special projects and participate in initiatives as assigned.
